Natural Watercolours Workshop
Lean into the free and unpredictable nature of watercolour through intuitive and expressive mark making.
Participants will get the opportunity to learn foundational watercolour techniques and then create their own nature-based 'paint brushes' to explore mark making with.
Cost: $70
($50 registration fee + materials including: paper, pigments, paint brushes, foraged materials, twine, water containers, paint palettes.
Date: Sunday, Oct 27th, 10am - 12:30pm
Please note that all workshops take place in the upstairs mezzanine which is not wheelchair accessible.
About Jo
Jo Pinera (she/they) is a second-generation Filipino immigrant, watercolour artist, activist, and instructor, born and raised on Treaty One Territory, Winnipeg Manitoba. Her current practice centers foraging earth pigments to create watercolour paint. She draws inspiration from ancestral teachings and biomimicry to ensure her practice is respectful, reciprocal, and responsive to the land and community.
